My stay at the hotel was quite disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it to others. The room I was given had a terrible condition and to add insult to injury, they charged me a $100 deposit for it. The A/C wasn't even turned on before my arrival. Despite the efforts of Brendon, the manager, the room was cleaner but fell short of basic cleanliness standards promoted by other hotels.

The hotel wasn't like it was advertised; it had bugs, the tub wasn't clean, and it filled up when taking a shower. Couldn't use the pool as it wasn't clean. However, the staff was very friendly in getting us checked-in and nice and understanding of my situation. The location was near the freeway and easy to find, perfect for my needs in Bakersfield. The dining experience was great, more than just a quick continental breakfast. The rooms did not live up to expectations, but the friendly service and convenient location were notable positives.
